Finally11 months later, it healed up somewhat,  leaving a lot of scar tissues.   The doctor said , we can start this big  project how exciting.  Fives weeks before my scheduled surgery I was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor. My plastic surgeon cancelled my surgery indefinitly. I didnt want them to cancel it !

They said after the tumor is gone we 'll do the reconstruction. 

 

 

My neurologist  told me that brain surgery was not an option 90% chances were that  half of my face would be paralized. I needed radiation.

 

 My husband and I were doing a lot of research on the internet and trips to different specialists to get second, thir, fourth Opinions . We went from UCSD to Loma Linda, Mount Sinai,City of Hope Scripp Memorial hospital and more to back to  UCDSD for tests CT SCAN MRI  reading etc. . Still they all agreed, ."Surgery was not an option".   The only option left was "Gama Knife"  radiation which was a " one time" very high dose of radiation then it's over.. well with some risk that I didn't like. The other option was  30 to 35 rounds of Radiation..  The one that I didn't want however was the best for me. It was just inconvenient having to face driving  120 milles a day.    We decided to have rounds of radiation anyway.

 

Then 2 months later finally - my reconstruction started. I had been hybernating/ recuperating for over 3 years I've 7 surgeries so far one more coming up Feb 29th 2012,

I was not going anywhere but to doctors appointments trying to recoup and watch TV.

 

 Two years later sometime in Sept 2011, I met Robbie Motter president of the Women's Club here in Menifee Valley . I met her at Boston Billie restaurant in Menifee. She was setting up for a fund-raiser "Woman Against Child Trafficking "  in the conference room. It was going to be "a Karaoke show". My eyes lit up my ears perked up. Well ,I used to have my own Karaoke Company I had it for over 15 years. I had given it up staying home feeling like" this is it". This is my new life after brain tumor, being really dizzy, and breast cancer .

 

 I was thinking, especially being over 60 living in a senior Community. I Didn t know that I still had a purpose. All that  time though a Quote would always come to my mind from my " younger days as a realtor in the late 80's " You have to Circulate to Percolate" that is my favorite Quote. I attended the Fund-raiser .That very same night I was asked to sing at their upcoming Fashion SHow 5 months down the road with the theme An Afternoon in  Paris"I thought "  really?who,, me??? I said," wow thank you, I 'll do my best. Merci

 

Shortly thereafter I joined the Woman's Club of Menifee valley/ Sun City / Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Female Executif "NAFE" I am also a Volunteer to Michelle's Place in Temecula "a Breast Cancer Resource Center. 

 

 We're now going to Dinner/ Dance Events, Mixers With the Chamber of Commerce fund-raiser/karaoke shows etc More doors are opening. I feel that from listening and abiding from my favorite  quote, YOU HAVE TO CIRCULATE TO PERCULATE.  I do have a purpose in life!   

 Indeed " I am a real proof of that. Happy to say that my tumor is under control " I can deal with my Vertigo" I'm ok. I AM CIRCULATING AND I AM PERCOLATING
